JOSHUA HEATH

Letters of Recommendation:
JEFF BLAY
To Whom It May Concern,

I’m writing this letter of recommendation for Josh Heath, who I worked with for two years in his role as a Senior Graphic Designer on the creative team I led as Creative Director.

During his time with us, Josh consistently demonstrated a high level of talent, dedication, professionalism and respect for his peers that made him a well-liked teammate and invaluable contributor to our work and the overall success of our client projects.

One of Josh’s standout strengths is print and layout design. He was our go-to designer anytime we had a complex project in that area. He has a sharp eye for layout, typography, colours and detail and brings a high level of polish and consistency. He’s also executed extensive digital design to support branding projects, advertising and social media campaigns for clients including Arby’s Canada, John Brooks, Hello Fresh, Whirlpool Canada and more.

Here’s some of the main reasons I like Josh and feel confident recommending him:

-
He’s a skilled designer who can execute across mediums and contribute to a wide-range of projects, ensuring the work is creative, on-brand and meets objectives.
-
He brings a thoughtful approach to design and brings questions and ideas forward to improve outcomes and produce stronger work.
-
He’s not afraid to identify issues or gaps in the process or workflow and suggest solutions to make things more efficient and effective.
-
He takes pride in his work, and often goes above and beyond to ensure the success of both his projects and the team as a whole.
-
He makes an effort to learn and develop his skills, try new things and contribute in any way he can to make projects successful and support the team.
Most importantly, Josh is a nice, genuine, good guy who you want to have on your team. He’s a calming presence and has a positive attitude that’s infectious – he’s a great team player who everyone respects and wants to be around. I highly recommend Josh for any design role and I’m confident he will be a valuable contributor to any team he joins.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to enthusiastically recommend Josh Heath, who worked at Creative Guild as a Senior Graphic Designer from March 2022 to April 2025. During his three years with us, Josh made a lasting impact on our agency through his creativity, professionalism, and dedication to design excellence.

As a key member of our creative team, Josh consistently delivered high-quality work across a broad range of projects—from branding and print collateral to digital campaigns and social media assets. His ability to create visually compelling designs significantly contributed to the success of numerous client initiatives, with Josh playing a lead role in several major campaigns for our QSR clients such as Arby’s Canada and Turtle Jack’s Muskoka Grill, as well as providing critical support as we rebranded John Brooks.
Beyond technical skill, Josh brought a collaborative spirit and positive attitude to every project. He worked well under pressure, met tight deadlines with grace, and was always open to feedback and new ideas. His passion for design and genuine enthusiasm for exploring new ideas and challenges made him a great fit for our agency culture.
On a personal note, Josh is an absolute joy to work with. He brings a sense of humour, kindness, and team spirit that truly uplifts those around him. Whether it was lending a hand to a colleague or lighting up the room at our staffevents and holiday parties, Josh’s presence made our workplace more vibrant and connected. He will be greatly missed not just for his talent, but for the energy and positivity he brought to our team.

I have no doubt that Josh will be a valuable asset to any creative team. I wholeheartedly recommend him for any senior design role and would be happy to provide further insight into his work and contributions.

Sincerely,

I highly recommend Joshua Heath as a candidate for employment. Joshua was filling a maternity leave position at Hillfield Strathallan College in the Marketing and Communications department as a Graphic Designer.

Joshua is a brilliant graphic designer and has experience working on illustrations, newsletters, reports, invitations, posters, marketing assets, social media imagery and infographics. He has also done a great job with video editing. Joshua is extremely organized, reliable and is very detail oriented. He can work independently on multiple projects and is able to follow through to ensure that the job gets done. He is also flexible and willing to work on any project that is assigned to him.

Hello,

I worked with Josh Heath at Postmedia Editorial Services in Hamilton, Ont., from early 2013 to mid- 2015. Josh was the lead graphic designer on the desk that put together the Montreal Gazette, and I was his supervisory editor on that desk, acting in the Assistant Quality Control Editor position, and then eventually, the Quality Control Editor.

When I became the head of our desk, I met with Josh, and I asked him to step up and assist me in running the nightly production of the Gazette. I wanted him to take on more responsibility in leading the other designers, and I also wanted him to be my eyes and ears on design esthetics and issues. I asked him to act quickly, to keep an eye on pages as they were built, to point out when something just wasn’t good enough, and to problem solve as fast as he could, as we were on tight deadlines and constantly under-staffed.

Josh rose to every challenge. He became a much stronger voice on the desk, he was always one step ahead of everyone else, and he pushed himself to constantly improve his skills. He ended up eventually acquiring a position on the operation’s Design Desk as a result, where the best designers ended up. He was adaptable, speedy and accurate, plus his design sense is obvious. He is a natural.

One time, I witnessed our senior manager in a panic ask Josh to take an entire automotive guide and adapt it from our old design into the look of our recent redesign. She had missed a deadline, and needed someone to act fast. She could have gone to several other designers in the building, but she ran to him, because she knew he was capable of a quick execution. He delivered, above and beyond, under stressful circumstances, all the while keeping his cool.

I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed working with Josh. He is a rare find: hardworking, conscientious, very talented and such a wonderful colleague and person.
If you would like to speak to me about Josh, please do not hesitate to contact me.
All the best,
